We are finally home! It is great to finally sleep in my own bed. I was so happy to see all of my friends and family again. It was wonderful seeing all of you, but I am glad to be home.
Q: How is your back?
A: This is one of the most frequent questions I have received lately. I am relieved to finally know what is wrong. The doctors say that I have a bulging disc in my tailbone, which was finally visible in the MRI. I still have a lot of pain most of the time, but I have faith that God will heal me.
Q: What have you been doing since you’ve been back?
A: Well…various things. Catching up on school work, catching up with friends, and organizing my room. J We have been spending lots of time with Kent and Jan, the new intern couple who moved in next door. They are great, and Melanie and I have spent quite a bit of time with them. They moved in Monday last week, and so they are still adjusting to life in Poland.
We haven’t been doing too much ministry-wise, because a lot of us have been sick lately. My best friend got sick, and then Tomek was sick, and is still sick. Mom got the fever for a few days, and I am just recovering from the fever, too. I was also sick on Monday. This is unusual, because I am rarely sick.
Q: How was your trip?
A: It was pretty uneventful. My family (except me) slept on the flight to Munich, Germany. Then I slept on the flight to Poznan. I then slept on the car ride to Borne Sulinowo. And we got to see Tomek and Iwonka later on. Jowita and ?ukasz came over later to say hi.
While sitting in the Chicago airport, we noticed some friends of ours, Jack Stockdale, and his daughter Roz. We always seem to run into them at airports or parking lots. It was nice to see them and talk with them while we waited.
Then, while on the plane, we found out that the people directly behind us were missionaries, too. It was an interesting flight, even though it seemed like the longest flight of my life! I really wanted to get home.
